About this service
Enquiry-led coordination for NRIs exploring a private trust in India from abroad. Any remote execution, representation or registration route requires case-specific professional and authority confirmation.
Living overseas can make it difficult to organise Indian documentation and discuss family arrangements with the right professionals. Blueberry helps coordinate an initial enquiry, document preparation for review and administrative communication. The goal is a clear, professionally assessed process, not a promise that every private trust can be established or registered without your presence in India.
What this service covers
- Organisation of your preliminary requirements and a checklist for professional review.
- Appointment and communication coordination with appropriately qualified professionals, subject to availability and a separately agreed scope.
- Administrative follow-up on a proposed Indian registration process where the reviewing professionals and accepting authority confirm it is available.
- Coordination of questions about cross-border documentation and any required participation.
Blueberry is a facilitator, not a law firm, trustee, government registration authority, tax adviser or investment adviser. Trust drafting, legal advice, representation and tax analysis must be provided by appropriately qualified professionals under their own engagements. This listing does not mean any professional has accepted your case.
Can an NRI create a private trust without visiting India?
There is no universal answer. The proposed trust, assets, parties, intended Indian location and overseas circumstances require professional assessment. Do not assume that a video call, scanned signature, notarisation or representative appointment is sufficient. Any proposed signing, authentication, representation and registration steps must be confirmed before you rely on a remote route.
For clients experiencing separation or divorce
If you are considering separation, involved in divorce proceedings or subject to an existing order, obtain independent advice from your Indian and relevant overseas family-law counsel before arranging a trust or transferring assets. Ask them to review disclosure obligations, existing claims, restrictions and the proposed arrangement alongside your estate-planning objectives.
This service is not offered to conceal assets, defeat a spouse's or dependant's rights, evade maintenance or support obligations, frustrate creditors, bypass disclosure or disregard an Indian or foreign court order. No protection from matrimonial claims or court scrutiny is promised. A private trust should not be treated as a shortcut around a dispute. Blueberry's coordination does not authorise an asset transfer or replace court permission where required.
What to prepare for the initial enquiry
Prepare your country of residence, citizenship details, the Indian state concerned, the proposed purpose, a broad asset summary and the intended parties. Tell your reviewing lawyer about existing arrangements, disputes and court orders. The professional will determine the case-specific evidence and document requirements. Do not send passport scans, financial records, account numbers or court papers through a general enquiry message; first request an appropriate document-submission method.
How coordination works
- Send a preliminary enquiry with your location and broad requirements, without sensitive attachments.
- Obtain an assessment from appropriately qualified Indian professionals and professionals in each relevant foreign jurisdiction.
- Review a written scope identifying who provides advice, what coordination includes, exclusions and fees.
- Proceed only with the steps approved for your case, including any authority requirements and necessary participation.
Fees and timing
Proposed Blueberry coordination fee: ₹30,000, subject to confirmation of the written scope before engagement or payment. This is a coordination fee, not an all-inclusive charge for creating or registering a trust. Professional fees, registration or authority charges, applicable taxes and any authentication, translation or courier costs must be separately itemised in the written quotation, including whether taxes are included in the displayed fee. Confirm the complete payable amount before payment. Timing depends on the professional assessment, document readiness and accepting authority. No registration deadline, approval, tax saving or legal outcome is guaranteed.
What is not included
Unless separately agreed in writing, this coordination scope does not include legal drafting, litigation, divorce representation, tax filings, asset valuation, investment management, acting as trustee, asset transfers or ongoing trust administration. Confirm service scope, payment terms and applicable cancellation or refund information before payment.
Frequently asked questions
Is a private trust the same as a will?
No. This listing concerns private-trust planning coordination, not will preparation. Ask your legal adviser which arrangement, if any, is suitable for your objectives.
Can Blueberry register the trust on my behalf?
No blanket representation or registration promise is made. Any permitted representative role and remote process must be assessed and confirmed for your circumstances by the responsible professionals and authority.
Will the trust protect assets during divorce?
No such assurance is offered. Discuss the proposal with your family-law counsel before taking action. This service does not override court orders or anyone's legal rights.
Does this cover every foreign country's laws?
No. Your country of residence and other relevant jurisdictions require separate professional assessment. Indian registration is not presented as proof of overseas recognition or compliance.
Are the photographs real clients or proof of registration?
No. They are AI-generated illustrations, not testimonials, professional accreditations or evidence of completed work.
